Integrated Management System Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to establish, implement, and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) Policy for VelpasConn Pty Ltd.

This Policy affirms our commitment to achieving excellence in quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety (OH&S) performance across all our construction activities. It provides the foundational framework for setting and reviewing our IMS objectives and targets, ensuring we meet our legal, contractual, and other obligations while driving continual improvement.

Our IMS is VelpasConn’s combined quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management system. It is aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016, AS/NZS ISO 14001:2016 and AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018).

This Policy reflects our primary duty of care as a Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU) under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld).

Scope

This IMS Policy applies to all activities, products, and services within the control or influence of VelpasConn Pty Ltd. This includes all phases of our construction projects, from pre-construction and tendering to construction, commissioning, practical completion, and the defects liability period.

The scope covers all personnel, including directors, managers, employees, contractors, subcontractors, and visitors at all workplaces managed or controlled by VelpasConn Pty Ltd, including the head office and all construction sites.

Policy Statement

VelpasConn Pty Ltd is committed to delivering high-quality projects while upholding the highest standards of environmental management and occupational health and safety.

Our Integrated Management System (IMS) is central to our business operations. This Policy expresses the unwavering commitment of our leadership and workers to the effective implementation and continual improvement of our IMS.

Our Commitments

1. Leadership and Accountability. We are committed to providing strong leadership and the necessary resources to implement this Policy. Management is accountable for our quality, environmental, and OH&S performance and for the effectiveness of the IMS.

2. Client Focus and Quality. We shall consistently deliver construction projects that meet or exceed client expectations and comply with all contractual and quality requirements, including the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards. We are committed to preventing defects and enhancing client satisfaction through the application of our quality management system.

3. Health and Safety. We are fundamentally committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all workers, subcontractors, visitors, and the public. Our goal is to prevent work-related injury and ill health. We commit to:

   • Fulfilling our primary duty of care as a PCBU under all applicable WHS legislation and regulations.
   • The elimination of hazards and the reduction of OH&S risks using the hierarchy of controls.
   • Meaningful consultation and participation of workers and their representatives on all matters affecting their health and safety.
   • Developing, implementing, and reviewing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for all high-risk construction work.

4. Environmental Responsibility. We are dedicated to the protection of the environment, including the prevention of pollution and the sustainable use of resources. We commit to:

   • Minimising the environmental footprint of our construction activities by controlling waste, noise, dust, and water emissions.
   • Complying with all applicable environmental legislation, regulations, and project-specific requirements.
   • Promoting resource efficiency, waste reduction, and recycling on all our sites.

5. Compliance and Ethical Conduct. We shall identify and comply with all applicable legal requirements, standards, codes of practice, and other obligations to which we subscribe. We will conduct our business with integrity and transparency.

6. Objectives and Continual Improvement. This Policy provides the framework for setting, monitoring, and reviewing our IMS objectives and targets. We are committed to the continual improvement of our Integrated Management System to enhance environmental performance, improve OH&S outcomes, and increase quality of service delivery.

This IMS Policy is documented, implemented, and maintained. It is communicated to all persons working for or on behalf of VelpasConn Pty Ltd and is made available to all interested parties and the public.

Review

This Policy is formally reviewed at least annually, as part of the Management Review process, to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness and that it remains relevant and appropriate to our organisation.

A review will also be triggered by:

• Significant changes to the organisation’s scope, context, or construction activities.
• Significant changes in relevant legislation, standards, or codes of practice.
• A serious incident, significant non-conformance, or recurring issues that indicate the policy commitments are not being met.
• Feedback from workers, clients, or other stakeholders suggesting the policy is no longer appropriate.

Once approved, the revised Policy is signed by the Managing Director, dated, and re-issued.
