About Us

Who We Are

VelpasConn is a Queensland commercial builder and project consultancy, led by its directors, Trent Paschkow and Mitchel Bell, from first estimate to final handover.

The Directors

Trent and Mitch

Trent and Mitch grew up around Lismore in northern New South Wales, met at school in Year 7 and did Army Reserve infantry training together. Mitch went into bridge carpentry and then major infrastructure; Trent into civil engineering, insurance construction and commercial project management in Brisbane.

In 2017 Trent talked Mitch into moving back up the coast, and in 2025 they started VelpasConn.

Trent Paschkow

Business, project management and estimating. More than 15 years across insurance construction, commercial delivery and construction management.

At Plexxcon, Trent managed the delivery of the Gibson Island Overhead Access Solution, which won Plexxcon the 2022 Master Builders Queensland Excellence in Workplace Health and Safety award at both the Brisbane and Queensland levels.

02 · Director and Construction Manager

Mitchel Bell

Construction, operations and site leadership. 18 years, from bridge carpentry to live rail corridors and operating hospitals.

In earlier roles with John Holland, Hutchinson Builders and Laing O'Rourke, Mitch worked on the Buranda station upgrade in Brisbane, level crossing removals in Victoria and the Beenleigh courthouse.
